And they don’t have a big volume of applicants. Big companies are less flexible. How to get a work permit and secure an internship position for non-EU students if the program does not require an internship? Work full time in semester break or 15hours/week while studying. Which types of companies are more willing to apply for a working permit for non-European graduates? Tech/innovative companies are more likely to sponsor. Technical specialists are relatively rare in Swiss. How to increase the possibility of being employed in a junior position since I’ve heard that it’s especially hard to get a working permit for a junior position? Get experience. Is it harder to find a job as a non-EU citizen in specific cantons? And which ones In general doesn’t matter. But Zurich, Basel has more quotas. When would you suggest hunting for jobs if graduating in August? As early as possible. And it would be more convincing if you already have some part-time job/internship in Swiss. How much benefit I would have if I can speak official languages in Switzerland? Not a hard requirement. But definitely helpful and merge in the society. Not mandatory to work permit though. Can I extend my stay in Switzerland after graduation to look for a job? 6 months. Should apply for job search permit. How about working in EU in general? What is the difficulty and what is a good strategy? We don’t really know. Good luck. Hi, thank you so much for this. Do grades play a bigger factor in how a company looks at NON-EU citizens for a position? It’s not the breaking point. It depends on many factors, e.g. skills. Is there way to prepare a document that explains to employers the simplified admission for graduates of Swiss universities could be applied? A-Link (we) can help. You can also mention it in the interview process. “Yes I require a work permit, but the difficulty of applying should decrease.” As a doctoral candidate with a B permit, does the company still need to apply for a permit for me? Or does my permit just need an extension from the company? Only for working at school How can Chinese students get working visas in Switzerland? If you are studying in swiss, then you stand a chance. From your experience, is there a sector in that non-EU graduates are more successful at getting a job/work permit? Technical sectors. If you obtain a work permit, is it for a fixed period at the same job? What happens if after 3 years, there is another job you’d like? Will you have to re-apply? No, it depends. If you have a limited job contract, each year you have chance to extend a B permit or change to a C permit. Since a lot of people in HR aren’t aware of the simplified procedure. How should we communicate it in our applications? Is it recommended to write it in the CV for example? Yes, you can put it in CV or engagement letter/cover letter. Does a TA job count as experience for the job market? Or is it better to not mention it in the CV? General advice is to put it. If one already did an internship in the company, is it easier later to apply the proper position with work permit? and what kind of permit are there B, L? what is the difference? Potentially good. Not necessary though. What would you say to students (like myself) who get frustrated sometimes from getting rejected on the basis of nationality? what advice would you have to keep going? We feel the pain. It is more challenging. So be more persistent. Try to get over the screen and get interview. Network, alumni. Reach out people on LinkedIn. When you get rejected, follow up to know the reason. How long before my graduation/expiration of my student permit should I apply for the job-seeking permit? Thank you! You can stay a bit. After your student permit expires, you apply for the job search permit. Sorry, maybe you said but I didn’t listen. 非强制实习学校不参与，强制实习学校可以开证明去移民局报道，延用学生签证（因为po主没经历过还请大家指出错误）😁...
